One of my favorite parts about our real estate office in Creekside is that we get to be right next door to our coffeehouse, Lovebeans. Moving our real estate office here 3 years ago was a decision we made because of the incredible community that exists in this pocket of The Woodlands. When the space next door to us became available as well, we saw an opportunity to play a part in that community and Lovebeans was born.
Giving back has always been a priority for us as a company and myself personally. Lovebeans is the perfect outlet to do that – we’ve created a physical location where people can gather, drink good coffee and eat great food, and enjoy the warm and inviting environment we’ve worked hard to foster. We’ve also given back physically and tangibly – which has been tough to keep up through the pandemic. For a while we gave back as much as possible whenever possible – you can read more about how we did that in 2020 here.
Now, in 2021, we are seeing more and more of our customers’ faces and absolutely loving it. We love it so much that we created the “Monthly Market” which we host right here at Lovebeans one Saturday each month.
We bring together different local vendors from within our community that sell everything from homemade almond and peanut butter to artisan candles and cutting boards. We bring out our Lovebeans merchandise and sample something yummy from inside. And we choose a charity or non-profit each month to support with this event.
All month long we tally the sales from our Lovebeans branded merchandise and donate all profits to the featured charity. We also take 10% of all of our sales from the day of the market and add that to the mix. And our incredible vendors pay a fee to set up the day of the market which we are able to tack onto our donation at the end of the month. We raise awareness for the organization through our social media leading up to the event, and welcome any people from their team to set up at the market as well.
It is by far my favorite way to bring people together at our little coffeehouse. It is an important event that brings attention to things that matter and supports so many small businesses in just one day. What an honor to get to host this and be a part of something we hope continues to reach more and more people in the Creekside community and beyond.
This event comes to life from 9 AM – 1 PM on the sidewalk in front of Lovebeans and Beth Ferester & Company, trailing into the courtyard as we continue to grow our pool of talented vendors. Please come and join us this month on Saturday, June 19th as we highlight Camp For All! More event details here.
Camp for All is a unique, barrier-free camp working in partnership with other not-for-profit organizations to enrich the lives of children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs and their families throughout the year. Located in Burton, Texas.
So far we have had the privilege of supporting Project Love One, Inspiration Ranch, Habitat for Humanity, Love Fosters Hope, and Interfaith with the monthly market. We can’t wait for the rest of this year to unfold and see how this event grows!
