Best Christmas Lights to Delight Your Family
• Zoo Lights – TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo every holiday season. From mid-November through January 15, 2017 you and your family can enjoy the twinkling lights, nocturnal animals, hot chocolate, and holiday music as you stroll through the zoo property. This spectacular display contains over two million lights! Zoo members get a discount on admission, so be sure to bring your membership card.
• Woodland Heights – This neighborhood on the north side of Houston in The Heights is well-known for its holiday decorations. Several houses get all decked out and put on light shows choreographed to music. Take a walk down the beautiful streets or drive slowly through the entire neighborhood.
• Magical Winter Lights – This holiday celebration festival, now in La Marque, is only about an hour’s drive south from The Woodlands, and is worth the trip. The festival is located at Gulf Greyhound Park and features carnival rides, dinosaur land, live music, and other live performances. The lantern sections have over 100 breathtaking scenes that light up the night including the Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, and Australia’s Opera House, among many, many others. Buy your tickets in advance and look for discounted weeknight prices.
• Winter Wonderland – Right here at The Woodlands Town Center you can stroll through a two acre attraction with beautiful light displays of winter fun, Santa and his elves, and playful snowmen. Then, take a spin on the ice rink that’s right in the middle of the lighted walkway.
