A true entrepreneur with tenacity and unbeatable drive, Beth Ferester has remained at the top of the competitive and challenging world of real estate throughout the 35 years she has been in the business, always striving to build on the success she has already achieved. The Ferester name has become synonymous with quality service and professionalism, and Beth has spent her career devoted to her clients, whom she credits for her success through their continued loyalty and enthusiastic referrals. Beth has been featured as one of the Houston Business Journal’s top ten individual Realtors in Houston for the past 15 years, ahead of more than 25,000 other Realtors.
Beth moved to Houston in 1981 with her husband, Bob, and their four children after a job transfer for Bob. The children, then aged 3-13 years, quickly adapted to North Houston where the family remained, with all of the children attending local schools. Eventually all four attended the University of Texas, and after graduation they scattered throughout Texas and the world. The Ferester clan now includes nine beautiful grandchildren.
Realizing the needs of a large family, Beth started her real estate career soon after arriving in Houston and quickly became the top agent for her firm. Bob and the children were always there to help with her marketing efforts, like placing flags in yards on the Fourth of July, singing Christmas carols door to door during the holidays, helping with marketing materials and mail-outs, and being great siblings to each other when Mom had to work with clients. The market was different back in the 80s, with no internet or cell phones, so it was necessary to spend time interacting personally with prospective clients in order to build relationships and grow one’s business. Today, Beth’s children still lend their support whenever they can, and Bob works full-time to help expand and grow the business after leaving the corporate world to join Beth in 1994.
In her first ten years, Beth worked for a national real estate group and an independent firm before deciding to open her own company, Ferester & Company, in 1991. After recruiting a team of top-producing agents, the firm quickly became the leading independent residential real estate firm in North Houston. Ferester & Company was selected to handle the relocation for several large corporate moves, including Compaq Computers, Fina, Kerr McGee, Huntsman, and Hughes Christensen. During this time, Beth also started her “Mentor Program,” passing on her years of experience to new agents to help them become top producers themselves. Many of those agents still work closely with Beth today, offering the same high-caliber service to their clients that Beth does.
In 1998, after being approached by several global real estate firms, Beth decided to merge with Coldwell Banker in order to increase national and global coverage for her business and her clients. In the 18 years that followed, Beth and her team enjoyed their relationship with Coldwell Banker. Still, Beth always longed to start a firm focused on quality versus quantity, and so Beth Ferester & Company was born.
Today, Beth continues to grow her personal business while enjoying the brokerage she has created of top producing, experienced agents. This tight knit team of agents all share Beth’s vision of putting clients first while offering quality for every lifestyle.
